Sir Stirling Moss at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2013
The Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum was pleased to again have a stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show in 2013, 15 - 17 November 2013.
This year was a particularly exciting year as we had a visit from Sir Stirling Moss at our stand at 11:35am on Saturday 16 November. Hosted by Peter James, Sir Stirling Moss was a big draw, he signed autographs and even bought a ticket for our Mini Raffle! There are more details of Sir Stirling Moss' visit to the show on the Peter James Insurance
website.
The theme for this year's show was classics reunited. We had a number of vehicles fitting with this theme including the Austin Sheerline which Richard (museum founder) and James Atwell were reunited with nearly forty years after it was sold by their father. Other vehicles included our Sinclair C5 and Voshkod and Douglas motorcycles. We will also took our draw prize 1992 Mini 'Special' (Sprite) with tickets available at the show - this proved really popular!
