Annual Classic Vehicle Show - Saturday 12 and Sunday 13th July 2014
80 Years of the Morris Eight
The Friends of the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum held its 12th Annual Classic Vehicle Show on Sunday 13th July 2014. Hundreds of people turned out for the show with some great classics on display. Prize winners on the day were:
- Best Car in Show - Peter Turvey for his 1914 Stanley 607 Steam Car.
- Best Motor Cycle - Jon Goodchild for his 1924 Douglas 23/4HP.
- Best Restoration Shield - Brian Craft with his 1951 MG TD Mk 2.
- Best Morris 8 trophy - Chris Murray with his 1936 Morris 8 - 4-seater tourer.
- Best Commercial - Colin Craddock with his 1949 Landrover Series 1 80".
- Best Tractor - Nick Handy with his 1948 Ferguson TEA 20.
Road Run - 12 July
The road run will approximately 60 miles, passing through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. The run will start from the Museum at 5pm and will last about two hours, there will be a barbecue and live entertainment upon return to the Museum. There is a small charge of £6 for the road run which also includes a burger, hot dog and hot drink following the run.
For those wishing to stay overnight, camping will be available at £5 per tent.

Annual Show - 13 July
The Annual Show this year is being held on Sunday 13 July in the Museum grounds. It will be open to the public between 10am and 4:30pm. This year we will be celebrating 80 years of the Morris Eight. There will be a special display area for these cars, as well as the usual variety of things to see, including other collectors cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, motorbikes, autojumble, tombola and trade stands. Tickets will also be on sale for this years Annual Grand Prize Draw of a 1967 Riley Elf (due to be drawn at out mulled wine evening on Saturday 6 December).
Entry to the show is £7 for adults and £1 for children under 14. Exhibitors and front seat passengers have free entry (all other passengers must pay the normal admission free).
The Museum itself will also be open all day, with reduced entry rate for exhibitors (adults £5, children £1, wrists bands must be warn in order to receive this reduced rate).
